Representin' Canada Mardi Gras
Mardi Gras in New Orleans is all about dressing up, representing ideas/ideals that matter, and then putting them out on display. Every year my friends and family represent Canada during Mardi Gras with our own mini parade, called the Krewe de Canoe. We dress in our finest representation of Canada and strut around the French Quarter playing Canadian artists on our music playlist and handing out stickers, hugs and hoots. In this photo my husband Kevin and I are standing in front of Washington Park in the Quarter, waving and returning cheers to those who feel a kinship for the Great White North.
