Whiskey Jack Acro
My friends and I decided to explore Joffre Lakes for a nice, long day hike several summers ago. The hike takes you to three lakes: Lower, Middle, and Upper. The journey between the lakes shows off BC gloriously with mountains, forest, streams, lakes, glacier, and its wildlife.
This shot was at the Middle Lake.
The whiskey jacks are friendly birds that will land in your hand often here in BC. I guess this is actually not a good thing as it means they are accustomed to being fed by humans. However, I like to have a childish, "Disney" mentality about it and think of it as a Canadian "Snow White" moment. It is now a lasting memory of moment the fun, beauty, and joy of being in the beautiful Canadian outdoors.
