I have had some fun experiences in my beautiful homeland, growing up in Toronto, and spending lovely summer vacations at my parents' cottage on Georgian Bay. I have lived in the U.S. for 44 years, but always wanted to go to Newfoundland. My parents had lived there during the war, and I thought it would be great to go. My daughter and her family took me for a vacation for about a week in July of 2012. The scenery was magnificent and the people were very friendly, and hospitable. Our first site was that of a dead moose at the side of the road, just after the ferry landed.Even the ferry rides were great!! We actually visited St. Pierre & Michelon while were there. This is a photo of me at ----------. It is all a wonderful memory, and I am thankful I was included.
